Charming and Ruby's puppies are looking for new homes.

Hi Everyone,

We have been having a wonderful time over here playing with the puppies, caring for them and just generally loving on them, but the time for them to go to their forever home quickly approaches.

Charming and Ruby had a litter of six on May 18th and five of these beautiful and well behaved babies are looking for new homes. Jeager who is the smallest boy and his four sisters, Ennis, Kincaid, Sutton and Tipton. All of these super soft babies are a delicious chocolate color with brilliant white in all the right places.:)

If you are interested in these sweet little darlings than please give me a call at (985) 607-5837 for more information. You can also email me at judy.eckhoff@gmail.com

All of babies have received their first vaccinations and have been wormed at 2,4, and six weeks of age.

Battling the heat!

Let's face it, it's hot, really really really hot outside. And it isn't even July or August yet. What am I doing to keep the heat out of the house? Cooking outside among other things. Yes, I have rediscovered the Crockpot! I was never a crockpot user but now the idea of using less energy to cook dinner and not having that heat in the house is simply wonderful. On the menu for tonight, pork chops cooked in seasonings, onions, garlic and butter. Yummy! It's so easy that I will probably go ahead and invest in another one.

Renovation on the puppy room is getting done!

The puppy room renovations are going great. Paint on the walls and ceiling, crown molding is up, and rubber wall base is down. Now to move in the new cabinets, sew the curtains, make the decorations for the curtains and the rug. I can't forget the rug.:) I also have photos to frame and display as well. I also have some really cute ideas for wall decoration as well. And seating too. This project has been on going but it is so satisfying to see the progress. I think that I am going to enjoy it as much as the puppies are.:) I think it's going to be a nursery/livingroom. I am emulating the Pottery Barn look without paying the Pottery Barn price. There are so many wonderful ideas and designs also at www.ballarddesigns.com

I'll try to remember to snap photos from here on out as things get done. If you all are like me than you love "before" and "after" photos. I rescued the frame from the trash and primed and painted it white and I will than put some cork board inside the frame for a little memo station. The fabric Sophie, Bridgett and Bailey really like is a Fieldcrest Luxury drapery panel in velvet cream I picked up for a $1.00 at the "Dirt Cheap" in Petal, MS. It's a 54x95 inch panel and it regularly retails for $32.99 at Target. It's completely lined and beautiful. I will turn this panel into two smaller curtains for the windows and also add a shade block lining to the back as well. More chalking and painting touch ups to do. But in all things are coming along nicely.

Lil Elvis is doing good.

I would like to announce that Sarah and Charming have a brand new litter. A little boy and a little girl were born to them on April 6th. The little girl is rich chocolate and white like Charming and the little boy is black and white flanked with beautiful touches of brindle throughout his coat. Both puppies arrived in the breech position which wouldn't be so bad but... they were both big puppies, the boy being first and bigger and I had to literally pull him to save his little life. And he sadly has a cleft lip and can not latch on and nurse as his sister. So, every and I mean every two hours I am tube feeding him and as of today, Saturday April 10th from Tuesday April 6th he has gained three ounces from tube feeding. He will be fed this way until he is weaned onto his puppyfood. Thank you all for your support and encouragement concerning Lil Elvis and thanks to RuthAnn for giving him his name.

Ordering vaccinations today.

Well, it's that time again. To order vaccinations and wow does it ever add up. But... my puppies are worth it. They ought to arrive in a couple of days for Abby's puppies to get their first vaccinations and if they don't arrive then I have some extra here as well. All of the puppies are doing great I am happy to report. They love their puppy toys and love to play. I am going to miss them when they go to their new homes.

New Photos Of Murphy.

Murphy is the son of Hailey and Big Beau and his new mama Jennifer sent new photos of her darling baby boy. I can not believe how much he looks like Hailey. Oh my goodness he does so.

Also, our chocolate and white baby boy is doing great. He settled in very well and loves to play and cuddle. He doesn't have a name yet. Thad is still thinking of a good one for him.

We have a new stud dog, well, kind of.

That's right, we have a new stud dog and he is chocolate and white and wonderfully handsome. Well, super de duper adorable right now and he is named... well, we haven't given him a name yet. Technically that is Thad's job, so he'd better get on it or I am going to have to name him myself.

This little fella was a stud fee payment and his father is Charming.

I also have three little darling girls looking for awesome homes, who are already paper trained and doing very well. They are so sweet as well. They are Aphra, Zane and Toshka. They will be able to go to their forever homes April 14th and thereafter. So, if you are interested in bringing one of these little girls home then please give me a call at (985) 607-5837.
