Riley's having one HUGE puppy, Prada and Charming have a brand new litter, and so does Bella and Boudreaux.

Well, it's been a very busy week and day. This morning Riley saw Dr. Kelly Smith for her pre-delivery x-ray, she is due in seven days, Riley, not Dr. Kelly and it is as I painfully suspected. Riley is having only one puppy. I listened to her belly with my fetal heart monitor Doppler and could only pick up one heartbeat and I told Jeremy, who works with Kelly that was the case and yup wouldn't ya know it. Only one puppy and it's a bigum! Arrrgh!

Right now Thad wished she wasn't pregnant at all. I wish there was more then one so the puppies could be smaller. Smaller means a safer delivery. Ruby had only one with her first pregnancy and Lucian lived even though we had to pull him. Kelly said to just watch her closely and get her to the hospital if she pushes and nothing happens. I hope it's going to be o.k. She is due on the 17th of this month and you better believe that I will watch her closely.

Then this morning around 5:00 a.m. ish Bobby left me a text message that Prada had her new litter of six. She started at 4:00 a.m. and finished at 5:30 a.m. Now that is a fast delivery. ~Nice~ Later I learned it's five boys and a little girl.:) I think that Amber, Bobby's wife is going to want to keep the little girl. They just sent pictures and here they are for everyone to enjoy. The two dogs together are Prada and Chocolate Charming. She is the brindle beauty with the red collar and Chocolate Charming is the dashing young beau with the chocolate-ish coat. Both got along splendidly.

I am waiting on photos of Bella and Boudreaux's litter. Bella had six and the smallest baby is not fairing well. Dede made sure the baby went to see their vet and that she is getting the best attention from Dede herself. It takes a lot out of a person to care for an itty bitty newborn puppy. I've done it before. It's exhausting. Sometimes they get better and sometimes they pass. But all you can do is try your best to help them.

New Plants and Pot, a gift from Misha.

Yesterday when Rocky went home and Misha surprised me with some plants that she grew and a gorgeous new heavy pot as a way to say "Thank you" for caring for Rocky. This afternoon I potted the other plants and I am going to plant the white Angel Trumpets in the huge new pot. Don't worry, I am keeping the Angel Trumpet away from our dogs. It's deadly to them and people and I am going to handle it with gloves for good measure.

I ordered some seeds for Plumeria and Adenium plants. I can not wait to get them and try my hand at growing them. They are so exotic and that is the theme I am going for. I've already let Misha know that she will have to help me grow these beauties. It takes three years from seed to bloom. It will certainly be interesting to see what happens.:)

Also went boating out on the lake with Thad this afternoon. It was really nice. Hot but nice. I got darker with all that Southern sunshine.

My Zinnia's are already coming up. And so are our Calendulas. I need more starter pots though I am starting to run out.:) I guess that is a good problem to have, huh? I'm trying to learn as much as I can about gardening. I'll also have to learn about having a pond garden because that is going to be one of the best features of the new backyard. Ian will be the one to care for the fish in the pond. I know that he will enjoy that.

So, much to do.

We have a visitor Rocky.

I've been caring for Rocky, Misha and Blake's puppy who came from a litter of Sophie and Charming.

He has been so good while visiting. I will snap some photos of Rocky tomorrow before he goes home.

Also Bella and Boudreaux have not had their babies yet but Dede is keeping me in the know. And Prada is expecting for Charming and like Bella she is fat in waiting. Any day now.:)

Growing it long, growing it strong. Hair that is. And my babies are A-O.K.!

Well, I have a confession to make. I've been growing my hair out. A lot of my friends have noticed that for the last five months or so, maybe a bit longer I have been wearing my hair Au natural. I'm always rushing here and there trying to get everything done and flat ironing my hair dropped way down on my "To do"... list.

So, I started experimenting and reading up on which products to use and had Thad pick up a diffuser hairdryer for me and now the hair is curly, hydrated and healthier looking. However, I am staying away from at home relaxers and I've been trying to continue my Aphogee regime. It may stink a bit when used but it makes a whole heck of a difference in my hair. Stronger by all means. However, a deep moisturizer is a must afterwards or you will have a head full of straw. That protein will leech all of the moisture out of your hair. I wonderful friend and stylist in Pearl River, LA named Tammy Meyn, who owns the Headz Up salon introduced me to Aphogee.

I'm going to do a treatment tonight even though it is Saturday. Hey, I'm feeling bad, under the weather so I might as well make the most of it huh?:)

I want to grow it out so I can have more options in styling it. Longer curly but occasionally I do flat iron it and wear it down.

Also, puppies are doing better. They had a tummy bug. I drug myself out of my deathbed to tote them to see Dr. Smith today. Thad drove for me. I love him. Doc tested for everything, and I mean everything. No parasites, no deadly virus', no less deadly virus', no virus' at all, no diseases, no nothing. I told him I stayed up to 3 o'clock in the morning with them (and being sick it can only make you sicker when you don't get much sleep) providing supportive care and cooking gourmet meals for them too. Mmmm, chicken and rice, calf beef liver, whole fat yogurt and probios. Also, oat water and molasses. That really smells great! Symptoms have subsided substantially and they never ran a fever. Go figure. Also, running low on Parvaid and Vibactra. Got to get somemore and I am even seriously considering becoming a distributor. No one should be without this stuff. It rocks. Puppies hate the taste but it works and that is all that really counts. And get this, when we get to Dr. Smith's hospital they are all acting happy and playful. Like I'm lying. Just like kids.

While I am gluing my hair to my head with this Aphogee (not really but it does give you old Ken, as in Barbie's beau, hair) I'll do a pedicure too. It's well overdue. Saturday spa night sounds better then Saturday sick night in.

More seeds planted today. And baby puppy pictures taken too.

More seeds for more seedlings for more plants. Today I sowed Daisy, Zinnias, and more. I got to lay mulch on top of my flowerbeds. It was cooler today then yesterday so it was very pleasant out. I also took fresh photos of Belle's puppies and they did very well.

Tomorrow I plan on working more with my plants and setting some of my Cosmos that I have grown from seeds in a sunny area in the ground. It's so nice to watch things grow. Beautiful things that is...

My visit with Lars David, my nephew and Rolly's adoption day.

Yesterday was a very active day. Rolly went home to Suzzane and Robert and it was a wonderful adoption day. Suzzane was a little choked up when she saw her new baby girl Rolly. I can't blame her. Rolly is such a sweetie.

I have a feeling this is only the first Boston for Suzzane and Robert to adopt, as she inquired of my upcoming litter.:)

Congratulations!!!

Then I got to visit with my nephew Lars David. Lars is six months old and he is one of the finest babies I have ever seen. Fine like my babies were at that age.:) So, beautiful and healthy with a very calm and sweet personality. How could he not be wonderful? Look at who his parents are.:)

I brought him some bath things and in two of the photos he models one of the towel hoodies. After a lovely visit I headed over to Fabrics by the Pound only to find that they close at 5:00 p.m. I missed it by half an hour. Rats! :( But... now I have another errand to run when I visit darling Lars again. Which I plan to do soon.:)

Thanks for the wonderful visit. I'll visit again soon. I promise.

Judy's blooms!

Both Odin and Ainsley went home today. Ainsley flew out of New Orleans, LA to go her home in Bluffton, SC. Joe and Jan are so happy. Ainsley even has a two big sisters waiting for her.

Odin was picked up by his new owner Fred of Laplace, LA. His daughter Chelsea tagged along and welcomed Odin home too. Chelsea has a Boston who is adopted from me as well as her mom Jona, she has our William. So, now their family has three Bostons from me.:)

I am gardening this year. Flower gardening at almost 39 years old. Yikes! I guess it's true you can continue to learn. This year I am absolutely learning. Reading and reading some more. I am delighted that things are starting to come up and even bloom.

I am hoping to really get into the dirt tomorrow and start more seeds. It's so exciting to see them grow.:)

Not as exciting as watching my puppies but still exciting.
